After the completion of nine days and nine fascinating navratri nights comes the Dussehra on the 10th day after navratri. Dussehra which is also known as the Vijayadashami as performed as “Rama Lila” which is celebrated as the victory of the Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana.
The theme of good over evil remains the same as in Ramaya scriptures. Celebrations of dussehra includes the stage decoration with the huge and long heightened statue of demon king Ravana whereas on the other side people perform diminish ravana statue with the bow and arrow with fire.
Also, the play of “Rama Lila” is being performed where the role consist of Lord Rama character having victory over the demon king ravana. Ravana who is also known as the worshiper of the Lord Shiva and the one who received a boon from the creator-god Brahma of having ten heads henceforth cannot be killed by demons, spirits or even the gods. He got more superficial powers as well but ultimately at the end of the epic Ramayana, the battle has the Lord Rama (created in the form of human by Lord Vishnu) makes the victory by killing the demon king Ravana .
